Bridge Token Using Uniswap

The Uniswap web app supports bridging tokens. Bridging refers to transferring tokens from one network to a different network.

For example, if you have ETH on the Ethereum network, but want ETH on the Base network, you can bridge your tokens from Ethereum network to Base network using Uniswap.

Networks eligible for bridging:

• Ethereum

• Unichain

• Arbitrum

• Base

• Blast

• Optimism

• Polygon

• WorldChain

• zkSync

• Zora

Tokens eligible for bridging:

• ETH

• USDC

• WETH (can be bridged for unwrapped ETH on a different network)

• WBTC

• DAI

• USDT

How to bridge tokens using the Uniswap web app:

1. Open the Uniswap app and connect your wallet. Next, select the token drop-down.

   
2. Select the token you want to bridge.

   
3. Select the token drop-down.

   
4. Select the network you want to bridge to.

   
5. Enter the amount you would like to bridge, or select the “Max” option. The “Max” option automatically inputs the total amount of the token you have available in your wallet to bridge.

   
6. Select “Review”.

   
7. Select “Approve and swap”.

   
8. Using your wallet, approve Uniswap to access your tokens. This step requires a network cost. For more information on token approvals, see What is an approval transaction?.

   
9. In your wallet, confirm the bridge. This step requires a network cost.

   
10. Congratulations! You have bridged tokens to a different network.

    

Once the bridging transfer is complete, the received tokens will be in your wallet and you can view the swap details in the portfolio activity section.

Note: Bridging tokens has network costs and may take longer to complete compared to a typical transaction
